Tonya Stall's litter of 2nd generation raw-fed Sussex Spaniels - look at those gorgeous coats!

Tonya Stall's Spirits Morning Has Broken, AKA "Dawn"

Thanks to my friend and fellow raw-feeder, Tonya Stall of Spirit Sussex Spaniels, for providing these fabulous pictures of her gorgeous raw-fed Sussex pups. This beautiful litter of puppies, whelped this summer, are 2nd generation raw-fed and it shows in their wonderful coats, wonderful energy and the pride that I know Tonya has in this litter.

Congratulations Tonya, on such a fabulous looking litter (and such an amazing shot of them!). I hope they are all you dreamed of!

... And if you haven't guessed, these little babies have enjoyed a variety of different raw foods from K9's Naturally. We're just happy to help! Tonya did all the work!

Two of my own raw-fed dogs: Hoss (left) is 9 years old and still doing well thanks to his change in diet almost 7 years ago. Lila (right) is 3 years old and is 2nd generation raw-fed and was weaned to raw by her breeder when it was time to switch to raw foods - Lila has actually never eaten kibble in her life.

Samson, below, is my wonderful 7 year old boy who has thrived on raw since he was just 12 weeks old. His yeasty ears could never have tolerated grain-based kibbles!

Lastly, there's our newest addition - Bear. He is a REAL testament to the power of raw feeding. He came to me underweight and supposedly a very poor eater. I've had no trouble packing on the pounds and muscle by way of SEVEN POUNDS of food per day!

Obviously, all of my own dogs are raised and maintained on K9's Naturally products. But I'm very proud of how well each and every one of them has done on the wide variety of raw foods we've tried over the years.

Hoss, at 9, is most certainly a senior Great Dane. For those who don't know, the average lifespan of Danes is around 8 years. Every extra year with Hoss now is a gift, and one I credit to the raw foods he eats. He had such a rough start as a youngster. Irritable bowel syndrome struck him at a little over a year of age, and the only solution that worked was switching his diet to all raw foods. Shortly afterward, the diarrhea went away, and it's been years since he's had a bout of IBS now.

Samson, who suffers from yeasty ears, has also thrived on raw. He loves his buffalo and would eat it every day if I would let him. It's a definite favorite here, and if your dogs haven't tried buffalo meat yet, you should! I try to feed some every week because the whole crew loves it!

Bear is the newest addition to raw feeding and has taken to it with great enthusiasm. Previously a poor or picky eater, he has put on a good thirty pounds of lean muscle in the 3+ months he's been here. Look for Bear, a.k.a. Michaeldane B Good Enough Trike, in the show ring in the midwest this fall. We're hoping for great things from this wonderful boy. Bear is co-owned with Jody Loop of Jaya Great Danes.
